Arthur Rowe drew a brilliant entry of 177 dogs, making an entry of 183. The ring was carpeted in pale green carpet, with the mats on, making it both attractive and pleasant for the dogs to show themselves off to best advantage. There was a wonderful atmosphere around the ringside, with exhibitors and guests enjoying complimentary wine, champagne, cheese and biscuits donated by Mr & Mrs Norman Davis and Mr & Mrs Brian Daws. A collection of memorabilia was sold as a silent auction, which gave further excitement to the show, as well as Naming the Giant Bulldog (Rascal!), lovely raffle prizes, including a beautiful wicker hamper and a well stocked Tombola. Plant displays helped to make the ring beautiful, donated by Mr D W Johnson. These were sold and the money taken is being donated to Bulldog Rescue.
Mr Rowe worked hard during the day, with very well attended classes and beautiful bulldogs. All very well behaved. He found his Dog Ticket in Mrs Pat Davis’ CH. Mystyle Amos Ocobo, who was also Best in Show. Bitch CC went to Mrs Margaret Goodwin’s CH Britishpride Fendi, and Best Puppy was Mr & Mr Handley’s Oakmel Simply the Best at Haddaway.
