THE
BRITISH BULLDOG CLUB
Championship
Show 2006
Judge: Mr
Colin Reed (Buyquy)
What a start to the show......
Nantwich Civic Hall must be once of the nicest venues in the country for
dog shows, being clean, large and bright it enhanced the lovely ring resplendent
with green carpet and display troughs of colourful cyclamen.
The magnificent Club trophies were all beautifully displayed and
welcoming cheese and biscuits, cakes and festive mince pies were offered to all
exhibitors and guests. At 10.00 o’clock on the dot, the show started with the
National Anthem. After everybody
had settled, the judge, Mr Colin Reed was introduced and started to judge the
superb entry of 154 dogs with remarkably few absentees.

Complimentary wine or juice was enjoyed by our guests and exhibitors, who
bought a record number of raffle tickets to try and win the beautiful hamper of
seasonal food and goodies – Brenda Price was the lucky winner.
The tombola again
attracted a large number of people, and had completely finished by lunch
time, when a donation from the British Bulldog Club was formally made to Bulldog
Rescue.
The Judge, Mr Colin Reed, a
very well known and experienced all-rounder and breed specialist went about his
job in a dignified and positive manner, confidently choosing his place winners,
and we congratulate Mr K Davis and Mrs Hubert the owners of
Int, Ch. Ocobo Freddy Mystyle who went Best in Show, Mr D Rodgers &
Fletcher whose Belushi DMX went Reserve BIS, Mr Howells Hilbull Sheeza a
Snowball Mystyle who won the Bitch CC and Mr P Harding whose Pringham’s Paris
not only won Best Puppy but also the Reserve CC.
Royal Canin made a very welcome donation of Bulldog food for all class
winners, and the Dog World photographer Carol Ann Johnson has recorded the
event. When the critique is
available, there will be a feature in Dog World, and the photographs and
critique will also be posted on the British Bulldog Club website.
Thanks to the committee, the exhibitors, visitors and judge for making
this a very special and successful day.
