THE
BRITISH BULLDOG CLUB
held their annual
Gold Medal Puppy Competition
31st July 2005
Welcome to the first of our reviews:
We intend to produce three news sheets a year, to let you know what has been happening with your club, people who have joined, and the results from the shows.
On Sunday 31st July, the date of our Puppy Competition and Open Show, the committee arrived nice and early, and started to erect the pergolas, and put the ring in place.
The Gold Medal Puppy Competition and Open Show, were great fun, in the lovely venue of the Canine Academy, in the heart of the Nottinghamshire countryside. We were very fortunate with the weather which was a reasonable 18 degrees centigrade, overcast but bright.
With 30 puppies in the competition, our three A list judges, Pat Dellar, Lynn Manns and Terry Davison had quite a hard job on their hands. The quality of the puppies was lovely. All behaved beautifully and the four class winners were - Hobtop Brandy Snap, Ocobo Flagship MyStyle, Iceglint I'm Edward and Calibra Kryptonite, with the British Bulldog Club Puppy of the Year being Hobtop Brandy Snap.
Following the lunch break, Melanie Davis started to judge the Open Show, which had a tremendous entry of 90 dogs. Again the quality was superb, and Melanie found her Best in Show in Robertson & Ferguson's Melafella Jules Rimet, and Best Puppy was Miss Webster's Spalfords Polar Bear, who also took Reserve Best in Show.
