Welcome to the
Summer 2007 British Bulldog Club Review
Our
summer Open Show was held as usual at The Canine Academy, Tollerton
Nr Nottingham on 29th July.
Because of the extremely wet weather the preceding week, we were unable
to use the field, and instead used the smaller fenced off area close to the
hall. The weather forecast had been
changing all week, and when show day actually arrived, sunny weather was
forecast for the whole day – so we set up outside, and the sun shone all day.
It was not very hot, and there was a cooling breeze, so both dogs and
handlers were comfortable. What
amazing luck!!!
The Gold
Medal Puppy Competition was held in the morning with Bob Haydock, Gwen Biddle
Edwards and Bill Roberts going over all 51 entries.
Sealaville ‘He’s the Rebel’ came out on top, winning the British
Bulldog Club Puppy of the Year 2007.
From an entry of 104, Mrs Cathy Shotter (Belldell) chose her Best in Show from the Junior Bitch winner, Culverhay Sadie, handled by Sonia Davis, and Best Puppy was Mystyle Eye Candy Ocobo. Our congratulations go to all winners and exhibitors alike – we all had a lovely show.
